Mathew BRADY (1822 – 1896) est  un grand photographe américain de la deuxième moitié du 19ème siècle. Il est  surtout connu pour ses photos des généraux de l’union lors de la guerre de Sécession. Voici quelques uns de ses plus beaux clichés de cette période.

 

Mathew Brady (1822 – 1896) is a great American photographer of the second half of the 19th century. He is best known for his photos of the generals of the Union during the Civil War. Here are some of his best shots of the period.

Jock Sturges est un photographe américain qui s’est spécialisé dans les photos noir et blanc de nus. Ses photos, prises dans des centres naturistes, sont réalisées à la grande chambre, d’où le luxe des détails sur les visages et les corps.

Ses thèmes de prédilection sont le passage du temps, la transformation des corps, l’innocence aussi puisque nombre de ses modèles sont des enfants. A noter qu’il en aura photographié certains sur plus de vingt ans et il est très émouvant de contempler leur transformation.

Attention au fait que plusieurs de ses portraits sont des nus d’enfants et, même sans aucun sous-entendu sexuel, ces photos pourraient choquer certaines personnes.

His favorite topics are the passage of time, the transformation of bodies, innocence also because many of his models are children. Note that he photographed some of them over than twenty years and it’s very moving to watch their transformation.

Attention to the fact that several of his portraits are of naked children. Even without any implied sex, these photos might shock some people.
