Yukio Mishima (1945-1970), de son vrai nom Kimitake Hiraoka, fut un très grand écrivain japonais. Il s’est suicidé par seppuku le 25 novembre 1970. C’est sa disparition sanglante, lors d’un coup d’état qui ne pouvait que rater, qui est entré dans l’histoire et la mémoire collective, reléguant malheureusement son œuvre écrite au second plan.

Yukio Mishima (1945-1970), whose real name Kimitake Hiraoka, was a great Japanese writer. He committed suicide by seppuku in November 25, 1970. It’s bloody demise, during a coup d’état that could only miss, came in history and collective memory, unfortunately relegating his written work in the background.

Lors de son coup d’état, Mishima est mort avec son bras droit Morita. Comme l’exigeait la tradition, ils ont eu la tête coupée par un assistant. Elles sont à gauche.
